Convert PPT file to PPS (PowerPoint slideshow)

Q:   I have a couple of PPT presentations that someone has sent me. They appear to be master or working copies. How do I convert them to PPS presentations so they open up and view properly on a computer? Thanks for any assistance.

A: To convert a .ppt to a .pps there are two main ways

 

1. Simply rename the file from something.ppt to something.pps. You may need to uncheck “hide extensions for known file types” to do this. You can find this in Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder options > View. Ignore the message of gloom and doom! This does not work in version 2007

 

2. Open the file in powerpoint and Save As. Scroll down in the “Save as Type” box till you find P{owerPoint show *.pps. It works on all version.

Someone may need to convert pps file to ppt file, I think you can solve the problem with these two ways above.
